Love Triangle 2
Chapter 2
A week had now passed but John's feelings were still tenacious. He spent almost all his typical time standing on the balcony hoping for a deja vu. But each time, he ended up a disappointed fellow. That however did not deter him from going back all the same. This time after spending a whole hour resembling a statue in the balcony, he decided to return to the seating room to relax his muscles. No one had noticed his inward suffering not even his two shenanigan sisters. His mother was glued to the television set while his sisters were engaged in their normal childish routines. For a moment the air was cool, silence had just dethroaned noice and the only undisturbing sound came from the small volume of the television set. Her sister would at one time destroy the mood by sneezing intensively, but the dust occupying the compound was what to blame. Grace, her smaller sisters, had a curious mind which led to her finding a hidden fullscap under John's pillow. It appeared it was never intended for any other person other than him. Grace naively read loudly the heading PROSPECTION..written in a red pen... It caught John's attention instantly, he annoyingly stood to take the paper from her sister's tiny hands but her mother intervened. John's balastic character had made everyone curious to explore more of the content in the paper. So she gladly continued after everyone was calm............
At first, I only craved for your name
But later, this cute feeling came
A feeling which made me tame
And subdued me, all the same
I did not confess my claim
And thus it burnt me inside like a flame
It compressed me together like a picture in a frame.
And over was declared the game
Who was to blame???
It's bloody hell rhetoric
But later, this cute feeling came
A feeling which made me tame
And subdued me, all the same
I did not confess my claim
And thus it burnt me inside like a flame
It compressed me together like a picture in a frame.
And over was declared the game
Who was to blame???
It's bloody hell rhetoric
The drumatic mood changed to a romantic one after the read. His talent was unquestionable but the content put him in a hot seat. It was the first time this kind of poetry came from John's work. He had a case to answer with her mother and a question to answer to her two sisters, to whom the poem was dedicated of cause. He avoided being fooled by deserting them and heading to Sam's place. Sam lived in the nearby slam where poverty met misery. A place where dignity had been replaced by survival and money was usually not the common tongue. Sam was busy being consumed by the famous series, Game Of Thrones. He was staring at the small television set which showed no signs of surviving a fortnight. It was carefully placed on top of a bucket which had been turned upside down. The edges of the screen were blur and the only surviving speaker produced a weird sound. All in all, they were amongst the few who owned an electronic device as search.
"My man John how you doing?"
He asked while pausing the movie.
"Am doing fine bro" John answered but not in his ussual momentum. Sam was one year older than John and also his best friend, irrespective of his social status. Judging from his feedback, he knew automatically that something was bagging him. John told him the whole story, and all through Sam listened attentively. After concluding, Sam cold-heartedly fell in laughter and in disbelief john held his chin while shaking his head. He did not see that coming, his friend was a heartless brat as usual. In no time they were both laughing their lungs out which was nothing different from their norm. Movie time, laughing time was now over, it was noon and their exhausted bodies needed to download something. John ran for a matchstick at the nearest shopping centre while Sam prepared the spices. To his amazement he met the same girl he saw along the pavement at the shop, his body went numb and he could barely move his joints. The poor boy was suffering under the hands of the person he loved most. He wanted to talk but what would he say? He wanted to be nice but what would he do? He just stood there like an award winning idiot. She was done with her business and after parking her staff she left the shop leaving John at the spot. I don't know if it is fortunate or unfortunate but the girl had forgotten her balance ,the shop keeper tried to reach her by shouting but to no avail. John's heroic character took the better of him and he clearly identified a chance to redeem himself. He ran after the girl, calmly touched her shoulder and delivered the good news. The girl smiled, showed her gratitude and returned to the shop for her balance. While heading to her destination, she looked back and her cute eyes met with the shocked ones from John, he smiled and she smiled back.It was so magical to John, he purchased his item then went running towards Sam's place to deliver both the matchstick and the good news. Sam was so surprised on seeing John's arrival, his face was happy, but the lollipop on his hand made him wonder whether a matchstick had changed its shape.....the poor boy was surely in another world.
